Patient Overview

The Patient category in Maintenance includes configuration settings related mostly to patients. This includes use in the Patients module, but also throughout axiUm.

It consists of the following items:

  • Alert Codes: Create and manage alert codes used to indicate important information about a patient.
  • Clinical Codes: Create and manage clinical codes used to indicate clinical information about a referral source.
  • Contact Note Codes: Configure predefined blocks of text that can be added to a patient's record from the Patient Card.
  • Default iForm Definitions: Configure the default iForms to add to a patient's record when they register for PatientAccess.
  • Employer List: Create and manage the list of employers that patients at your institution work for.
  • Ethnicity Codes: Configure codes that indicate the ethnicity that a patient identifies as.
  • Language Codes: Manage the list of language codes that identify the patient's preferred language(s).
  • Need Codes: Create and manage need codes used to match providers to patients with similar needs.
  • Need Status Codes: Create and manage codes that represent the status for need codes.
  • Occupations: Create and manage the list of occupations that identify a patient's job role.
  • Office Codes: Create and manage office codes used to indicate clerical information about a patient.
  • Overdue Conditions: Create and manage the list of overdue conditions.
  • Overdue Extension Reasons: Create and manage codes that identify the reason that a condition was not addressed in time and the patient is considered overdue.
  • Patient Care Views: Create and manage patient care views which are used to quickly display information about patient activity.
  • Patient Discount Groups: Create and manage patient discount groups which are used to give selected patients discounts on treatment.
  • Patient Type Codes: Create and manage patient type codes used to indicate different types of patients in axiUm and control how users interact with each patient type
  • Physician List: Create and manage the list of physician's that are seen by patients at your institution.
  • Physician Types: Create and manage physician type codes used to indicate a physician's specialization or classification.
  • Preventive Care Codes: Create and manage preventive care codes used to indicate different preventive care cycles.
  • Race Codes: Configure codes that indicate the race(s) that a patient identifies as.
  • Recall Codes: Create and manage recall codes used to indicate the length of time before the patient should return for a visit.
  • Recall Type Codes: Create and manage recall type codes used to indicate the different recall types.
  • Recall Type Groups: Create and manage recall type groups that allow you to group together similar types of recalls.
  • Referrals List: Create and manage the list of referrals for use at your school.
  • Relation Codes: Configure relation codes which are used to identify the relationship between a patient and their guarantor, or emergency contact
  • School Codes: Configure school codes which are used to identify the school/health unit information for research and reporting purposes.
  • Summary Codes: Configure information that can be displayed in the patient summaries section of the Alert tab in the EHR.
  • Survey Names: Configure surveys for use by your institution.
  • Survey Setup: Configure survey questions for use by your institution.
