Physician Types

Physician List Window

The Physician List window allows you to search for and manage the list of physicians associated with patients at your institution.

Field Description
Criteria

A text field that is used to enter your search criteria.

Tip: You can enter the first few characters of the word, or enter an underscore (_) to return all results.

Type

A drop-down list of available Physician Types which, when one is selected, will filter results based on the selected type.
Search On

A drop-down list that indicates the field to search on:

  • Last Name
  • First Name
  • Type
  • Address
  • City
  • State/Province
  • Telephone
Task Procedure
Search for Physician List
  1. Use the Criteria field and the Type and Search On drop-down lists to set the search parameters.
  2. Click the Search For Data () icon and review the results.

    3. Note: If your search has more than 100 results, a prompt displays. Click Yes to continue your search or click No to stop and change your criteria to narrow the results list.

Add Physicians
  1. Click the Create a new Record () icon to display the Physician window.
  2. Complete the fields as necessary and click OK.
Edit Physicians
  1. Search for and select a listed entry.
  2. Click the Edit Record () icon to display the Physician window.
  3. Make any necessary changes and click OK.

    4. Tip: You can also double-click a listed entry to display the Physician window.

Delete Physicians
  1. Search for and select a listed entry.
  2. Click the Delete Record () icon.
  3. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Preview/Print Report
  1. (Optional) To preview the Physician report, click the Preview Report () icon.
  2. To print the Physician report, click the Print Report () icon.

    3. Note: The Physician report uses the physicia.rpt file.

Show History
  1. Search for and select a listed entry.
  2. Click the Show History () icon to display the Physician History window and review the history of the Physician record.

Physician Window

(Maintenance > Patient > Physician List)

The Physician window allows you to enter information about a physician or a clinic.

It displays when you open the Physician List window and click the Add a new Record () icon or select a listed physician and click the Edit Record () icon.

Field Description
Last Name / Clinic

A text field that indicates the last name of the physician or the name of the clinic for a clinic entry.
First Name / Contact

A text field that indicates the first name of the physician or the name of the contact for a clinic entry.
Middle Name

A text field that indicates the middle name of the physician.
Address

A text field that indicates the address information for the physician or clinic.
Type

A drop-down list that indicates which Physician Type is the specialty of the physician or clinic.
Email A text field that indicates the email address of the physician or clinic.
Comment A text field that indicates any additional information about the physician or clinic.
Task Procedure
Add Physicians
  1. Complete the fields as necessary and click OK.

Edit Physicians

  1. Make any necessary changes and click OK.
