Summary Codes Window

The Summary Codes window allows you to configure information that can be displayed in the patient summaries section of the Alert tab in the EHR.

Important: This feature does require the use of Oracle procedures. For more information, contact axiUm Support.

Field Description
Code

A text field that indicates the code that identifies the summary.
Inactive A check box that, when selected, indicates the code is inactive and not in use.
Description A text field that describes the summary code.
Type

A drop-down list that indicates the type of summary:

  • Other: This is the only option available when creating summary codes.
  • Caries: This option is reserved for use by axiUm.
  • Periodontitis: This option is reserved for use by axiUm.
Value1 Desc A text field that indicates the label to use for the first field in the Calculated and Override sections of the Patient Summary Override window.
Value2 Desc A text field that indicates the label to use for the second field in the Calculated and Override sections of the Patient Summary Override window.
Show in Alerts

A check box that, when selected, indicates that the patient summary will display in the Alerts tab in the EHR.

Note: This checkbox is used with the Patient Summaries check box in the Alerts to Display section of the EHR Display Options window.

Allow Override

A check box that, when selected, indicates that you can override the calculated patient summary values.

Note: This field is only enabled if the Show is Alerts field is selected.

Task Procedure
Add Summary Codes
  1. Click the Clear Data () icon.
  2. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Edit Summary Codes
  1. Select a listed entry.
  2. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.

    3. Note: Once a code is created, the Code field cannot be modified.

Delete Summary Codes
  1. Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon.
  2. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Preview/Print Report
  1. (Optional) To preview the Summary Codes report, click the Preview Report () icon.
  2. To print the Summary Codes report, click the Print Report () icon.

    3. Note: The Summary Codes report uses the summcode.rpt file.
