Alert Codes Window

[Accessed from Maintenance > Patient > Alert Codes]

The Alert Codes window allows you to manage the alert codes which are used to indicate important information about a patient.

Example: Translator required.

Note: Alert codes are rarely medically related.

Field Description
Code

A text field that indicates the code that identifies the alert.
Inactive A checkbox that, when selected, indicates the field is inactive and not in use.
Description

A text field that describes the alert.
Color A color bar that indicates the text color to use when this code is selected in the Patient Card window.
Task Procedure
Add Alert Codes
  1. Click the Clear Data () icon.
  2. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Edit Alert Codes
  1. Select a listed entry.
  2. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.

    Note: Once a code is created, the Code field cannot be modified.
Delete Alert Codes
  1. Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon.
  2. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Preview/Print Report
  1. (Optional) To preview the Alert Codes report, click the Preview Report () icon.
  2. To print the Alert Codes report, click the Print Report () icon.

    3. Note: The Alert Codes report uses the Alert.rpt file.
