What's New in 2025.3

Discover the new features and enhancements included in Maintenance for axiUm 2025.3.

  • You can now configure Linked Apps to authenticate users in third-party integrations via Single Sign-On (SSO). If configured, this functionality allows you to use secure token-based authentication to pass user credentials and be fully authenticated in the linked app once it launches from axiUm.

    • As part of this functionality, we have made a variety of small design and field label changes in the Linked Apps window:

    • Basic Info, App Setup, and App Access section headers have been added to the upper pane.
    • The Type field has been renamed to Link Type and the Command Line and URL drop-down entries have been renamed to Application (Command Line) and Website (URL). We have added a (new) Custom entry that is used to configure linked apps to authenticate via SSO.
    • The Execute field has been renamed. One of the following displays depending on which entry is selected from the Link Type field:
      • File Path displays if the Link Type field is set to Application (Command Line).
      • Custom Type displays if the Link Type field is set to Custom.
      • URL displays if the Link Type field is set to Website (URL).
    • The Function field has been renamed. One of the following displays depending on which entry is selected from the Link Type field:
      • Function displays if the Link Type field is set to Application (Command Line) or Website (URL).
      • Options displays if the Link Type field is set to Custom. Additionally, a (new) button displays next to the Options field.
    • The Inactive checkbox has been renamed to Mark app as inactive and moved to the App Access section.
    • The Station-based and Patient-based checkboxes have been renamed to Restrict app access to certain workstations and Require patient selection to run app and moved to the App Access section.

  • You can now use a (new) Enable automatic checks for new response files checkbox and (new) Auto-check every drop-down field to enable the Claims module to automatically check for and import claim responses. Once enabled, any available responses are auto-imported into the module on a specified interval.

  • You can now use a (new) Alternative Names button to add payer names to insurance companies as alternative names. This makes it easier to process remittance responses when the payer name on the response does not exactly match the insurance company listed in axiUm.

  • You can now use a (new) Enable automatic checks for new response files checkbox and (new) Auto-check every drop-down field to enable the Auto Remittance module to automatically check for and import remittance responses.
