Clinical Note Answer Lists Window

The Clinical Note Answer List window allows you to configure the answer lists available for use within clinical notes.

Clinical Note Answer Lists - Field Definitions

Field

Description

Code

A text field that indicates the code that identifies the answer list.

Description

A text field that describes the answer list.

Type

A drop-down list that indicates the type of notes that this answer can be used with:

Clinical Note: These answer lists can only be used for clinical template notes only.
All: These answer lists can be used for clinical template notes and EPR forms.

Note: When set to All, the answer lists are accessible from the Clinical Note Answer Lists, EPR Answer Lists, Perio Answer Lists, and Ortho Answer Lists windows.

Clinical Note Answer Lists - Tasks

Task	Procedure
Add Answer List	Click the Clear Data () icon. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Specify Answer List Items	Select a listed entry and click the List Items() icon to display the List Items window. Configure the list items as required and close the window.
Edit Answer Lists	Select a listed entry. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.
Delete Answer Lists	Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Preview/Print Report	(Optional) To preview the Clinical Note Answer Lists report, click the Preview Report () icon. To print the Clinical Note Answer Lists report, click the Print Report () icon. Note: The Clinical Note Answer Lists reports uses the lists.rpt file.

List Items Window

[Accessed from Maintenance > EHR > Clinical Note Answer Lists > List Items () icon]

The List Items window allows you to specify the possible answers that can be selected when this answer list is used. It displays when you open the Clinical Note Answer Lists window, select a listed list and click the List Items () icon.

List Items - Field Definitions

Field

Description

List Code / List Name

Read-only fields that indicate the selected answer list.

Item Text

A text field that indicates what text displays in the answer list.

Reference Code (optional)

A text field that indicates the reference code for the answer.

Note: This field is used for imports and reporting.

List Items - Tasks

Task	Procedure
Add List Items	Click the Clear Data () icon. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Edit List Items	Select a listed entry. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.
Delete List Items	Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Reorder List Items	Select a listed entry. Click the Up and Down buttons to move the selected entry within the list.
