Rules for Setting Treatment Fields Window

The Rules for Setting Treatment Fields window allows you to manage a list of rules that allow you to specify a set of override conditions using the Clinic, Provider Type(s), and (optionally) Provider Year to determine the Practice and Location values to use for associated records.

Note: The Location field listed above is used in institutions that use a custom field as part of their Department definitions and has the Is the Tx Location field (used in Department definitions) check box selected in the Custom Fields window. If no such custom field exists, this window will only allow you to control the practice to use.

Field Description
Clinic

A list of available Clinics that indicate which clinic this rule applies to.

Note: Only one clinic can be selected.

Provider Type

A list of available Provider Types that indicate which type of provider this rule applies to.

Note: One or more provider types can be selected.

Provider Year

(Optional) A list of available provider years that indicate which provider years this rule applies to.

Note: Zero or more provider years can be selected.

Practice

A drop-down list that indicates which Practice is used for records that meet the conditions above.

Note: This field is mandatory and overrides all other workstation options/overrides.

Location

A drop-down list that indicates which location is used for records that meet the conditions above.

Note: This field only displays if the Custom Fields windowthe > Is the Tx Location field is set. When displayed, this field is mandatory and overrides all other workstation options and clinic associations.
Task Procedure
Add Rules
  1. Click the Clear Data () icon.
  2. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Edit Rules
  1. Select a listed entry.
  2. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.
Delete Rules
  1. Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon.
  2. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
