What's New in 2025.1

Discover the new features and enhancements included in Maintenance for axiUm 2025.1.

  • You can now customize an online appointment form to capture additional patient information related to sexual identity. The (new) fields include Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Preferred Pronouns. You can also select a (new) Allow custom input checkbox to indicate that patients can enter a non-listed value when answering online appointment request questions.

  • The EDI Claims module has been renamed to Claims. As part of this change, the EDI Options window has been renamed to EDI (Claims) Options and many fields and sections have been updated.

  • We have enhanced the Claims module to allow integration with supported clearinghouses such as DentalXChange. The process is now fully integrated into axiUm, eliminating the need for the ITS Bridge application, and we have introduced a streamlined workflow for claim submission and tracking that allows users to submit claims with a single click directly within axiUm. Status updates and rejection details are stored when received, and improved search fields make it easier to identify, review, and resolve claim issues efficiently. If using the (new) workflow, you must configure the claim submission method as necessary using a (new) Submission Method field.
