Limited Appointment Codes Window

Limited appointment codes are used to indicate what each provider wants to do within a specific time range, and also limit the number of these appointments they want to perform during this time range.

Example: A provider can limit their afternoon (1:00pm - 5:00pm) appointments to performing only one oral surgery (in anticipation of fatigue), but in the mornings they're OK to do as many as they like. In this case the provider will set up limited appointments for their afternoon schedules to ensure they cannot be booked for more than one oral surgery during that time range.

The Limited Appointment Codes window allows you to manage the appointment code limits for providers.

Field Description
Provider

A text field that indicates the provider that this code applies to.

The ellipsis is used to display the Provider List window and select a provider.
Appt. Code

A drop-down list that indicates the appointment code that this code applies to.

Time From ___ To ___ These fields indicate the start and end time that this limit is enforced.
Limit A text field that indicates the maximum number or appointments with the selected Appt. Code that can be booked for this provider within the time range.
Allow Back-to-Back A check box that, when selected, indicates that appointments can be booked next to each other with no breaks between them.
Task Procedure
Add Limited Appointment Codes
  1. Click the Clear Data () icon.
  2. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Edit Limited Appointment Codes
  1. Select a listed entry.
  2. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.
Delete Limited Appointment Codes
  1. Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon.
  2. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Preview/Print Report
  1. (Optional) To preview the Limited Appointment Codes report, click the Preview Report () icon.
  2. To print the Limited Appointment Codes report, click the Print Report () icon.

    3. Note: The Limited Appointment Codes report uses the apcdmax.rpt file.
