Set Codes Window

Ortho set codes describe the general phases of ortho care and contain one or more stages that represent the activities or tasks to be performed during the set.

Ortho sets are made up of a Code and Description used to identify the phase of ortho treatment.

The Set Codes window allows you to manage the ortho set codes for your institution.

Field Description
Code

A text field that indicates the code that identifies the ortho set.
Description

A text field that describes the ortho set.
Task Procedure
Add Set Codes
  1. Click the Clear Data () icon.
  2. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Edit Set Codes
  1. Select a listed entry.
  2. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.

    3. Note: Once a set is created, the Code field cannot be modified.
Specify Stage Codes
  1. Select a listed entry and click the Set Item Definition () icon to display the Set Items Window.
  2. Enter the stage information as required.
Delete Set Codes
  1. Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon.
  2. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.

    3. Note: You must remove any stages before you are able to delete a set.
Preview/Print Report
  1. (Optional) To preview the Set Codes report, click the Preview Report () icon.
  2. To print the Set Codes report, click the Print Report () icon.

    3. Note: The Set Codes report uses the set.rpt file.

Set Items Window

(Maintenance > Ortho > Set Codes)

Once an ortho set is created, you can specify the ortho stages that are part of the set.

The Set Items window allows you to specify the stages to include in the selected set, and order the stages sequentially. It displays when you open the Set Codes window, select a listed set code and click the Set Item Definition () icon.

Field Description
Set

A disabled field that indicates the selected set.
Stage

A text field that indicates the stage code.

The ellipsis is used to display the Stage Codes Window window and select a stage code.

Task Procedure
Add Stage Codes to Set
  1. Click the Clear Data () icon.
  2. Enter the Stage Code or click the ellipsis to display the Stage Codes Window and select stage from the list.
  3. Click the Add a new Record () icon to add the stage to the current set.
Reorder Stage Codes in Set
  1. Select a listed entry.
  2. Click the Up and Down buttons to move the selected entry within the list.
Remove Stage Codes from Set

  1. Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon.

  2. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.

    3. Note: The stage is removed from the set but is still available for use in other ortho sets.
