Ortho Custom Fields Window

Ortho custom fields allow users to enter information quickly and easily during an ortho visit. This information can be tracked over time and reviewed easily.

You can specify up to 10 custom fields for use in the Ortho module.

The Ortho Custom Fields window allows you to configure each field, including the type of answer, and how the field displays in the Ortho module.

Field Description
Module

A disabled field set to Ortho.
Inactive

A check box that, when selected, indicates the field is inactive and not in use.
Heading

A text field that describes a column header in the Ortho Tx History window (up to 12 characters).
Question

A text field that describes the question in the Add/Edit Ortho Visit / Ortho Treatment windows.
Response Type

A drop-down list that indicates the type of answer captured for this field:

  • Yes/No: Displays a check box that the user can select to set to Yes or deselect to set to No.
  • Date: Displays a calendar field that defaults to the current date. Users can manually enter a date or use the arrow button to select a date.
  • Free Text: Displays a text box that users can enter the reponse/answer.

  • Ortho Custom List: This displays a drop-down list to the user.

    Note: The list contents are controlled by the Response Details field.

  • Application Codes: This allows users to specify a Provider or User.
Response Detail

Note: This field only displays if the Response Type field is set to Ortho Custom List or Application Codes.

  • If the Response Type is set to Ortho Custom List, the following displays:

    A text field that indicates the ortho custom list that can be accessed when the question is answered in the Ortho module.

    The ellipsis is used to display the Ortho Custom Lists window and select a custom list.

  • If the Response Type is set to Application Codes, the following displays:

    A drop-down list that indicates the type of list can be accessed when the question is answered in the Ortho module.

Width

A text field that indicates the width (in pixels) that this column displays in the Ortho Tx History window.
Task Procedure
Add Custom Fields
  1. Click the Clear Data () icon.
  2. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Edit Custom Fields
  1. Select a listed entry.
  2. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.
Reorder Custom Fields
  1. Select a listed entry.
  2. Click the Up and Down buttons to move the selected entry within the list.
Delete Custom Fields
  1. Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon.
  2. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
