Clinical Records Auto-Reconciliation Rules Window

The Carequality module can be configured to auto-reconcile specific record types in C-CDA files.

The Clinical Records Auto-Reconciliation Rules window allows you to configure and manage auto-reconciliation rules. Once configured, the rules control which medical record types will be auto-reconciled.

You can set rules for several medical record types: medication, medical problems, medical test results, and allergies.

Important: If no rules are present, auto-reconciliation is not enabled for your organization.

Field Description
Reconciliation Type

A drop-down list that identifies the record type that the rule applies to:

  • Medical Problems

  • Medical Test Results

  • Medications

  • Medical Allergies

Auto-reconcile the last ___ months of data

A field that indicates how many months of medical test result records are auto-reconciled.

Note: The field is only enabled if the Reconciliation Type is set to Medical Test Results.

Allow duplicate entries

A checkbox that, when selected, indicates that all records of this type in the C-CDA file are auto-reconciled and added to axiUm as new records, even if they create duplicate records.

Note: Medications are considered duplicates if they have the same RxNorm code or drug description and dose match. Test results are considered duplicates if they have the same LOINC code, date result, and result status code. Allergies are considered duplicates if they have the same description. Problems are considered duplicates if they have the same SNOMED CT code and status.

Allow current only

A checkbox that, when selected, indicates that only records of this type with the status set to active in the C-CDA file are auto-reconciled.

If deselected, all records of this type, regardless of status, will be auto-reconciled.

Note: The field is enabled if the Reconciliation Type is not set to Medical Test Results.

Task Procedure
Add Clinical Records Auto-Reconciliation Rules
  1. Click the Clear Data () icon.
  2. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Edit Clinical Records Auto-Reconciliation Rules
  1. Select a listed entry.
  2. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.
Delete Clinical Records Auto-Reconciliation Rules
  1. Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon.
  2. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
