Clinic Time Exception Reasons Window

Clinic time exceptions are used to indicate that a provider or instructor is not available to work in their regularly scheduled clinic and chair(s).

Clinic time exceptions can be created for times when the provider or instructor is not available at all.

Examples: Vacations, exams, or working in a non-axiUm clinic.

Alternatively, a provider or instructor may be unavailable in their regularly scheduled clinic, but available to work in a different clinic.

Example: A student on a perio rotation takes time away from their regular clinic rotation to work in a perio clinic.

The Clinic Time Exception Reasons window allows you to manage the list of clinic time exception reasons and the color to display.

Clinic Time Exception Reasons - Field Definitions

Field	Description
Description	A text field that describes the clinic time exception.
Inactive	A check box that, when selected, indicates the field is inactive and not in use.
Display Desc.	A text field that indicates the description to display in the Scheduler. Tip: This field defaults to the text entered in Description and should only be changed when necessary.
Only Available in	A drop-down list that indicates whether the provider or instructor is available in a different clinic, or not at all: No Clinic (not available) List of Clinics
Default Color	A color bar that indicates the color to display in the Scheduler for this clinic time exception reason.
Qualifies as a break	A check box that, when selected, indicates that this reason should be used when calculated break times. Note: This is used in conjunction with Break Time Rules.

Clinic Time Exception Reasons - Tasks

Task	Procedure
Add Clinic Time Exception Reasons	Click the Clear Data () icon. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Edit Clinic Time Exception Reasons	Select a listed entry. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.
Delete Clinic Time Exception Reasons	Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Preview/Print Report	(Optional) To preview the Clinic Time Exception Reasons report, click the Preview Report () icon. To print the Clinic Time Exception Reasons report, click the Print Report () icon. Note: The Clinic Time Exception Reasons report uses the vacatecd.rpt file.
