Clinic Layout Window

A clinic layout is a way of mapping where in a clinic a chair is located. It is generally a visual representation of the layout of the clinic.

Clinic layouts are used (and required) for Chair mode and Availability mode of scheduling. Clinic layouts are not as commonly used for Book mode, but they can be (for use with Books by Chair ).

The Clinic Layout window allows you to manage the layout of chairs for clinics at your institution.

Task Procedure
Add Chairs to Layout
  1. From the Name list on the right, click and drag a chair onto the clinic layout grid.
  2. Click the Modify Record () icon to save your changes.

    3. Tip: To avoid the need to scroll to see all chairs in a clinic, try to fit the clinic layout within the displayed grid.

Move Chairs on Clinic Layout
  1. Select one or more chairs on the clinic layout grid.

    2. Tip: Hold down the SHIFT key to select multiple chairs.

  2. Drag and drop the chair(s) to the new location.
  3. Click the Modify Record () icon to save your changes.
Remove Chairs from Clinic Layout
  1. Right-click a chair in the clinic layout and select Remove from Layout.

    2. The chair is removed from the clinic layout and re-displays in the Name list on the right.

    Note: You cannot drag a chair off the grid. As you drag, the grid expands to accommodate the chair's location and a scroll bar appears.

  2. Click the Modify Record () icon to save your changes.
Delete Clinic Layout
  1. Click the Delete Record () icon to remove all chairs from the clinic layout.
  2. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.

    3. All chairs are removed from the clinic layout and are displayed in the Name list on the right.
Switch Clinics
  1. Select a Clinic from the drop-down list to display the layout for another clinic.

    2. Note: Any unsaved changes will be lost.
