Books Window

An appointment book consists of a collection of chairs or providers. These chairs do not have to be from the same clinic and the providers do not have to be from the same group or type.

Books also control when appointments can be made and the behavior of the scheduler.

The Books window allows you to create and manage the scheduler books for your institution.

Important: Books should be used by users using Book mode for scheduling.

Book Definitions

(Maintenance > Scheduler > Books)

The Book Definitions window allows you to define the date range the book is active for, the days it is active on and up to three time periods/sessions that the book can be used to make appointments. It displays when you open the Books window, select a listed book and click the Book Definitions () icon.

Notes:

  • At least one time period must be defined for an active day.

  • Time periods may not overlap.

  • Other periods must have the selection boxes checked to be active and all open times must have a corresponding, adjacent close time.

User Accessibility for Books

(Maintenance > Scheduler > Books > User Access icon)

The User Accessibility for Books window allows you to specify user access to the selected book.
