Scheduler > Books

A text field that describs the book.

A check box that, when selected, indicates that chairs must be reserved for the provider prior to the appointment being scheduled.

Only reserved chairs or providers that have reserved chairs are shown as available for appointments in the Scheduler > Active tab when this book is selected.

If deselected, this indicates that all of the chairs or providers are shown in the scheduler and appointments can be booked to any chair, for any provider, at any time.

This means the book contains chairs with no providers associated to the chairs. This is used typically in emergency clinics, where any available provider can treat any emergency patient on any available chair.

Note: When deselected, Book for selected is set to Chairs and disabled.

A check box that, when selected, indicates that users can add and delete columns in the book for the current session (refreshed when the module is closed).

Note: This checkbox is enabled if the Book has reservations check box is selected.

A check box that, when selected, indicates that the book is unavailable for dates that are not included in the Book Definitions. Additionally, any chair reservations outside of the book's schedule (i.e. closed times) will not be displayed.

Note: This checkbox is enabled if the Book has reservations check box is selected.

A check box that, when selected, indicates that the book has a fixed number of columns.

If there are more columns than the number specified here, the user will scroll using a scrolling toolbar to see additional columns. This allows a book with many chairs or providers to display more legibly.

Selecting this check box enables the __ cols per page field which indicates the number of fixed columns to display for this book.

A drop-down list that indicates the columns in the book:

• Chairs: The book consists of a collection of chairs and displays a column for each chair.

• Provider: The book consists of a collection of providers and display a column for each provider. If a provider has reservations in multiple chairs, additional columns display.

Note: This setting determines whether you specify books or chair in the Book Definitions window.

A drop-down list that indicates how columns in the book are ordered:

• Chair

• Provider Code

This field is enabled when Book has reservations and Book for selected Chairs are both selected.

A check box that, when selected, indicates the record is inactive and not in use.

Text fields that indicate the time period shortcuts used to quickly move through dates in the scheduler.

Example: 2 Weeks - 14 Days to advance would allow users to easily move 2 weeks forward or backward in the scheduler with a single click.

The first text field indicates the text to display in the Scheduler window, and the second text field indicates the number of days to advance when you click the + button.

A drop-down list that indicates whether the Book for selected field displays appointments and schedules for a single clinic or all clinics.

Note: This field is only enabled if Book for selected field is set to Providers.

A check box that, when selected, indicates that all providers associated in the Book Definitions display as columns regardless of whether they have a chair reservation.

Note: This field is only enabled if the Book for selected field is set to Providers.

1. Click the Clear Data () icon.
2. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.

1. Select a listed entry.
2. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.

1. Select a listed entry and click the Book Definitions() icon to display the Book Definitions window.
2. Configure book definitions as required and close the window.

1. Select a listed entry and click the User Access () icon to display the User Accessibility for Books window.
2. Make any necessary changes and close the window.

1. Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon.
2. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.

A disabled field that indicates the selected book.

1. Click the Clear Data () icon.
2. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.

1. Select a listed entry.
2. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.

For books with the Book for selected field set to Chair:

1. Select a listed entry and click the Book's Chair Selection() icon to display the Book's Chair Selection window.
2. Add and remove chairs using the > and < buttons.
3. Order the chairs in the book using the Up and Down buttons.
4. Close the window to save changes.

For books with the Book for selected field set to Provider:

1. Select a listed entry and click the Book's Provider Selection() icon to display the Book's Provider Selection window.
2. Click the > and < buttons to add and remove providers as necessary.
3. Click the Up and Down buttons to order the providers in the book .
4. Close the window to save your changes.

1. Select one or more users from the Users with No Access (searched for) list.
2. Configure the access using the Access drop-down list:
• Read Only
• Full Access
• My Appts Only
3. Click the > button to move the user(s) to the Users with Access list.

2. Click the < button to move the user(s) to the Users with No Access (searched for) list.
