Contract Policy Codes Window

Contract policy codes are used to indicated that an insurance plan is contract-based.

Examples:Plans where the patient cannot be billed for any portion of charges such as Indian Affairs, Veterans affairs, and Social Services.

When a contract policy code is attached to an insurance company, a red C displays in the insurance area of the Patient Card when this insurance is added to the patient.

The Contract Policy Codes window allows you to manage the list of available contract policy codes available for insurance companies accepted at your institution.

Contract Policy Codes - Field Definitions

Field	Description
Code	A text field that indicates the code that identifies the contract policy.
Description	A text field that describes the contract policy.

Contract Policy Codes - Tasks

Task	Procedure
Add Contract Policy Codes	Click the Clear Data () icon. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Edit Contract Policy Codes	Select a listed entry. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.
Delete Contract Policy Codes	Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Preview/Print Report	(Optional) To preview the Contract Policy Codes report, click the Preview Report () icon. To print the Contract Policy Codes report, click the Print Report () icon. Note: The Contract Policy Codes report uses the POLICYCO.rpt file.
