Medical Problem List Window

The Medical Problem List window allows you to search for and manage medical problems.

Field Description
Criteria

A text field that is used to enter your search criteria.

Tip: You can enter the first few characters of the word, or enter an underscore (_) to return all results.

Search On

A drop-down list that indicates the field to search on:

  • Code
  • Description
  • Synonyms
Task Procedure
Search for Medical Problems
  1. Use the Criteria field and the Search On drop-down list to set the search parameters.
  2. Click the Search For Data () icon and review the results.

    3. Note: If your search has more than 100 results, a prompt displays. Click Yes to continue your search or click No to stop and change your criteria to narrow the results list.

Add Medical Problems Codes
  1. Click the Create a new Record () icon to display the Medical Problem window.
  2. Complete the fields as necessary and click OK.
Edit Medical Problems Codes
  1. Search for and select a listed entry.
  2. Click the Edit Record () icon to display the Medical Problem window.
  3. Make any necessary changes and click OK.

    4. Tip: You can also double-click a listed entry to display the Medical Problem window.

Delete Medical Problems Codes
  1. Search for and select a listed entry.
  2. Click the Delete Record () icon.
  3. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Preview/Print Report
  1. (Optional) To preview the Medical Problem Codes report, click the Preview Report () icon.
  2. To print the Medical Problem Codes report, click the Print Report () icon.

    3. Note: The Medical Problem Codes report uses the MedProb.rpt file.

Look Up Additional Information
  1. Search for and select a listed entry.
  2. Click the Info Button: Additional Information () icon to launch a web browser that displays more information about the selected medical problem.
  3. Review information as necessary and close the window.

    4. Note: The default web page to display is set in Station Options > General > Info Buttons > InfoButtonUrl.

Medical Problem Window

(Maintenance > EHR > Medical Problem List > Medical Problem)

The Medical Problem window allows you to specify a problem code and the relevant information about it. It displays when you open the Medical Problem List window and click the Add a new Record () icon or select a listed problem and click the Edit Record () icon.

Field Description
Code

A text field to enter a valid SNOMED-CT code that does not yet exist in your system.

Note: This code will be validated against a master list.
Inactive

A check box that, when selected, indicates that this record is a problem code.
Description

A disabled field that displays the description of the medical problem.
Synonyms

A disabled field that displays synonyms for the medical problem.
Default Note

A text field that indicates the default text to display when this medical problem is added.
Color

A color bar that indicates the text color to display for this medical problem.
Start Date

A disabled calendar field that indicates the date the medical problem was created.
Task Procedure
Add Medical Problems
  1. Complete the fields as necessary and click OK.

Edit Medical Problems

  1. Make any necessary changes and click OK.
