Diagnostic Categories Window

The Diagnostic Categories window allows you to manage the lists of diagnostic categories and subcategories which are used to group sets of diagnosis codes in axiUm.

Diagnostic Categories - Field Definitions

Field	Description
Code	A text field that indicates the code that identifies the diagnostic category.
Inactive	A checkbox that, when selected, indicates the record is inactive and not in use.
Description	A text field that describes the diagnostic category.

Diagnostic Categories - Tasks

Task	Procedure
Add Diagnostic Categories	Click the Clear Data () icon. Complete the fields as necessary and click the Add a new Record () icon.
Edit Diagnostic Categories	Select a listed entry. Make any necessary changes and click the Modify Record () icon.
Reorder Diagnostic Categories	Select a listed entry. Click the Up and Down buttons to move the selected entry within the list.
Specify Diagnostic Subcategories	Select a listed entry and click the Subcategories () icon to display the Diagnostic Subcategories window. Enter the subcategories as required.
Delete Diagnostic Categories	Select a listed entry and click the Delete Record () icon. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
Preview/Print Report	(Optional) To preview the Diagnostic Categories report, click the Preview Report () icon. To print the Diagnostic Categories report, click the Print Report () icon. Note: The Diagnostic Categories report uses the diagcat.rpt file.

Diagnostic Subcategories Window

(Maintenance > Clinical > Diagnostic Categories)

The Diagnostic Subcategories window allows you to configure the list of diagnostic subcategories that are included within the selected diagnostic category. It displays when you open the Diagnostic Categories window, select a listed category and click the Subcategories () icon.

Diagnostic Subcategories - Field Definitions

Field	Description
Category	A read-only field that indicates the selected diagnostic category.
Subcategory	A text field that indicates the code that identifies the diagnostic subcategory.
Inactive	A checkbox that, when selected, indicates the record is inactive and not in use.
