Manage Transactions Reports

There are several reports in the Info Manager module > Insurance, Billing, and Practice tabs that pull information from the Transactions module.

You use these reports the same as other Info Manager reports. You can customize, create, filter, save, and print or export them.

Key reports include the following:

  • Bank Deposit Report: Lists daily transaction activities such as payments, charges, adjustments, and discounts. You can specify whether these were entered by all users/the current user or into all banks/specific banks.
  • Daily Activity Report: Lists the details of all records of one or more transaction types on a given day.
  • Insurance Aged Balances Report: Lists unpaid claims for one or multiple selected insurance companies and can include treatment details. It is most useful when working on outstanding insurance amounts.
  • Tip: This report can also contain sticky notes attached to unpaid treatments.

  • A/R Reconciliation (for All) Report: Lists all financial activity based on the transaction date including treatments, charges, claims, payments, and adjustments, regardless of whether they are allocated.
  • A/R Reconciliation (for Department) Report: Lists treatments and charges based on the criteria for the department and reports any payments and adjustments allocated to the treatments and charges.
  • Example: If a patient was seen three years ago in the faculty dental practice and did not pay the treatment in full, but is now a dental school patient, the unpaid faculty practice treatment still displays on the faculty practice’s A/R Reconciliation report while any unpaid dental school treatments and charges will show on the dental school’s A/R Reconciliation report.

  • Aged Balances Report: Lists outstanding/unpaid treatments and office charges.

Note: Because it does not reflect unallocated payments or adjustments, the reported A/R may appear higher than the actual A/R.

  • Patient Balances Report: Lists A/R balances for all patients in the database, excluding any held insurance money from insurance payments not fully allocated.
  • Note: It displays how much patients owe and differs from the Aged Balance report by including unallocated patient payment and patient adjustment amounts.

  • Guarantor Balances Report: Lists A/R balances for all primary guarantors in the database, excluding any held insurance money from insurance payments not fully allocated.
  • Tip: This report is useful when staff are working on patient accounts receivable collections.

  • Allocations Report: Complements the A/R Reconciliation report by listing additional details on allocations and showing the charges for each allocation. You can also sort by payment/adjustment code to display totals for each code.
  • Eligibility Checks Report: Lists patients who are covered by insurance for treatments.
