Instructor Schedules

For clinics that have a clinic layout, instructor schedules define a pattern of days that an instructor will work. They can also be used to identify which clinic chair(s) an instructor will cover during a session so that students will know who they need to talk to for grading, approvals, start checks, etc.

Important: Instructor schedules do not reserve chairs. If working in a clinic that requires reservations, chairs must still be reserved before an appointment can be booked on one.

Tip: These are most often used when instructors have regular, predictable schedules.

Instructor schedules are generally used in undergrad clinics that use Chair mode.

If using instructor schedules at your institution, you can create all necessary schedules, then specify the clinic and session information as well as the actual chair(s) that the instructor will be covering for each day of the week that the instructor schedule is in effect.

You can manage instructor schedules from the Scheduler module by creating session layouts or daily layouts.

Note: You can also create and manage instructor schedules from Maintenance.
