Customize Perio Chart

If you have the necessary access permissions, you can customize the way the Perio Chart displays and behaves on individual workstations. Configuration is accessible from two places: 

  • The Options/Settings () icon > Perio Options window

  • The Perio Treatment History () icon > Perio Tx History window > Options/Settings () icon > Tx History Options window

The Perio Options window controls the display options for the Perio Chart module.

Field Description
Show graphs on teeth

Select the checkbox to display conditions graphically on the odontogram teeth.

Note: The odontogram teeth still display on the window, regardless of whether the checkbox is set.
Show tooth condition symbols

Select the checkbox to display non-perio conditions graphically.
Full Mouth View

The Full View () icon allows you to view the patient’s perio chart and see all teeth, both sides, upper and lower in the same window. You can configure your workstation so that the window displays the patient’s chart details using only text values, only graphic values, or allows you to choose at the time of opening.

Select an option from the drop-down list:

  • Selectable: When you click the icon, the Perio Full View Selection window displays, allowing you to select Text Values or Graphic Values.
  • Text: When you click the icon, the Perio Full Text View window displays.
  • Graphical: When you click the icon, the Perio Full Mouth View window displays.

The Tx History Options window controls the display options for each view available in the Perio Chart module > Perio Tx History window.

Example views: All Records, Planned, and Completed.

Note: Any view changes are temporary and reset after logout, unless you save your changes as a station default.

Field Description
Tx Status (Displayed in List)

Select the checkboxes to determine which treatment records display based on the following status options:

  • PreExisting
  • Conditions
  • Planned
  • Conditions
  • In Process
  • Completed
  • Ortho Visits
Display Options

Select the checkboxes to determine which records display:

  • Show strike-out lines
  • Show deleted lines
  • Show notes
  • Show full notes
  • Hide notes by module
  • Show treatment forms
  • Show steps (I & C)
  • Show appointments
  • Show recalls
  • Show Appr User credentials
  • Hide Inactive Treatments
Display Disciplines

Select the types of treatment discipline records that will display.

Note: If you do not select any disciplines, all records will display.
Hide Columns

To make scrolling through records easier, you can prevent columns from displaying.

Select any columns you do not want to display.

Note: You cannot change their display order.
Selection Options

Use the Phase From/To fields and the Date From/To fields to filter results based on their phase and date.
Sort Options
  1. Use the Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary drop-down lists to indicate how records should be sorted.
  2. Select the checkboxes as necessary:
    • Sort planned activity to the end of the list
    • Sort treatment notes under each treatment
    • Show appointments’ treatments
Include Station View

Select the checkbox to include the Station View in the list of views.
Save as Station Default

Click the button to save your current selections as the default values for this workstation. They will remain set even after you log out of axiUm.
