Add Evaluations Chairside (Default)

Adding evaluations chairside at the end of the appointment is the most efficient workflow and allows the evaluation to be performed when the information is freshest in the faculty member’s memory.

When adding evaluations from chairside, students that require grading will set a treatment to In Process or Complete, get it approved, and if the required number of interactions with the instructor has occurred, the correct evaluation window displays.

Note: The required number of interactions with the instructor is only relevant if your institution performs periodic grading.

Standard evaluations workflow:

  1. Have the student provider set the treatment(s) to In Process or Complete using their usual workflow.
  2. Example: Open the EHR module > Tx History tab > select a treatment line > right-click and select Complete Treatment.

  3. Approve the treatment(s) using your usual workflow.
  4. Example: Open the Patient Approvals window, select the procedure(s), click Approve, and swipe your card or enter your credentials.

    The Add/Edit Evaluation window displays.

  5. Complete the evaluation as necessary.
  6. Notes:

    • While the Add/Edit Evaluation window may display automatically, users may cancel out of the evaluation which requires them to be added/continued later.
    • You may skip displaying the Add/Edit Evaluation window if you deselect the Enter Evaluation checkbox when you approve the treatment. This is managed from the Evaluations Setup window > Optionally evaluate on Patient Approvals field.
