Use the Xelis Integration

If your institution is set up to use Xelis software, you can use it from within axiUm to send x-ray images to Xelis.

  1. Select a patient and open the EHR module.
  2. Add a procedure that meets the following criteria:
    • Is an x-ray procedure.
    • Is approved.
    • Has the Status as (P) planned or (I) in process.
    • Has no outstanding treatment consents.
  3. In the EHR module > Tx History tab, select the procedure(s) you want to send.

    4. Tip: Press Ctrl to select multiple procedures.

  4. From the upper right-hand side of the EHR, click the Patient Exposures () icon and select Send Procedures.

    5. Xelis launches with the procedure(s) automatically created.

  5. From Xelis, take x-rays for the procedure(s), complete them, and send them back to axiUm.

    6. After completing the procedure(s) in Xelis, the procedure status in axiUm changes to C (Completed), but is unapproved.

    Notes:

    • For non-academic environments that do not use approvals, the procedure is automatically approved.
    • You must refresh the EHR module manually to see the updated procedures.
    • If configured, you may see a prompt to confirm the values are correct.

If an x-ray retake is required, axiUm allows you to send a completed procedure to Xelis. Once the x-ray has been repeated, the exposure count is increased, but the procedure in axiUm is not changed.

Note: This is only available to users that do not require approvals.

  1. Select a patient and open the EHR module.
  2. Click the Tx History tab and select a completed x-ray procedure.
  3. Click the Patient Exposures () icon and select Send Orders.

    4. Xelis opens with the original completed procedure and displays x-ray images the user can retake.

  4. From Xelis, select Past Procedure.
  5. Retake the image in Xelis and click Send.

    6. A new Patient Exposure count is created.

    Note: The treatment in axiUm is not updated.
