Use the XDR Integration

If your institution is set up to use XDR software, you can use it from within axiUm to send x-ray images to XDR.

When the procedure is completed in XDR, the procedure is also completed automatically in axiUm, and the exposure count is updated to accurately reflect any additional exposures taken.

Additionally, you can view previous images if you request the image based on (tooth) site or treatment date.

  1. Select a patient and open the EHR module.
  2. Add a procedure to the patient’s chart that meets the following criteria:
    • Is an x-ray procedure.
    • Is approved.
    • Has the Status as (P) planned or (I) in process.
    • Has no outstanding treatment consents.
  3. From the EHR module > Tx History tab, select the procedure you want to send.

    4. Note: Only one procedure can be sent at a time.

  4. From the upper right-hand side of the EHR, click the Patient Exposures () icon and select Send Procedures.

    5. XDR launches with the procedure(s) automatically created in XDR.

  5. From XDR, take x-rays for the procedure(s), complete them, and Send them back to axiUm.

    6. After completing the procedure(s) in XDR, the status of the procedure in axiUm is set to C (Completed) and is unapproved.

    Notes:

    • For non-academic environments that do not use approvals, the procedure is automatically approved.
    • If configured, you may see a prompt to confirm the values are correct.
  1. Select a patient and open the EHR module.
  2. Select a tooth on the odontogram.
  3. From the upper right-hand side of the EHR, click the Patient Exposures () icon and select XDR – Selected Teeth.

    4. XDR launches and displays images of the patient’s selected teeth.

  1. Select a patient and open the EHR module.
  2. Select a treatment completed on the date in question.
  3. From the upper right-hand side of the EHR, click the Patient Exposures () icon and select XDR – Selected Treatment Date.

    4. XDR launches and displays images for the patient taken on that specific date.
