Inactivate Tx Plans

If patients have not returned to the dental institution for some time, or decide not to proceed with the Tx plan, you can make their unapproved Tx plans inactive.

Tip: You can re-activate their Tx plan later, if needed.

  1. Select a patient and open the EHR module.
  2. Click the Tx Plans tab and select a listed Tx plan record.
  3. Click the Make Inactive () icon to display the Make Treatment Plan Inactive window.
  4. In the Inactive Reason field, enter the reason for making a plan inactive.
  5. To update any planned treatment associated with the treatment plan, select the Make treatments inactive via changing their Status to checkbox and from the associated drop-down list, choose the status to set the planned treatments to. This will prevent any provider from scheduling or completing the planned treatments from this treatment plan.
  6. Click OK.

In the Tx Plan tab, axiUm displays inactive treatment plans using strikeouts. In the Tx History tab, corresponding Planned treatment is displayed with an asterisk (P*).
