Customize EHR

If you have the necessary access permissions, you can customize the way the EHR displays and behaves on individual workstations. Configuration is accessible from the Options/Settings () icon > EHR Options window.

The EHR Options window > Chart tab controls display options on the odontogram.

Field Description
Tx Status (Displayed on Chart)

Select the checkboxes to display the corresponding treatment statuses on the odontogram.

  • PreExisting
  • Conditions
  • Planned
  • In Progress
  • Completed
Tooth Orientation

Select the radio button to determine how each tooth (image) displays on the odontogram.

  • Buccal
  • Lingual
Save as Station Default

Click this button to save the current Tooth Orientation selection as the default value for this station.

The EHR Options window > In Progress tab controls behavior of the In Progress tab of the EHR.

Field Description
Start Check Report Select the default start check report that displays when you open the In Progress tab and click the Start Check () icon.
Auto Display Start Check Report Select this checkbox to display the start check report automatically when a start check is performed.
Report Type

Select the type of report being used:

  • Start Check
  • Pt Check In
Default Health Summary Form Select the default form used to display information in the Health Summary portion of the In Progress tab.
Order Pending Treatments by

Select the ordering method of treatments displayed in the Pending Treatments area of the In Progress tab:

  • Phase/Seq
  • Status (I/P)
Save as Station Default Click the button to save the currently selected options as the default options for this workstation.

The EHR Options window > Tx History tab controls display options on the Tx History tab.

Field Description
Tx Status (Displayed in List)

Select the checkboxes to determine which treatment records display based on the following status options:

  • PreExisting
  • Conditions
  • Planned
  • In Process
  • Completed
  • Ortho Visits
Display Options

Select the checkboxes to determine which treatment records display based on the following status options:

  • Show strike-out lines

  • Show deleted lines

  • Show notes

  • Show full notes

  • Hide notes by module
  • Show treatment forms

  • Show steps (I & C)

  • Show appointments

  • Show recalls

  • Show Appr User credentials

  • Hide Inactive Treatments
Display Disciplines

You can choose to display records of certain treatment disciplines.

Note: If you do not select any disciplines, all records will display.

Tip: Inactive disciplines displays as struck-out in the list.

Hide Columns

To make scrolling through records easier, you can omit one or more columns from displaying.

Note: While you can hide columns, you cannot change their display order.

Selection Options Use the Phase From/To fields and the Date From/To fields to filter results based on their phase and date.
Sort Options

Use the Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary drop-down lists to indicate how records should be sorted.

Additionally, select the available checkboxes to set additional sorting behavior:

  • Sort planned activity to the end of the list
  • Sort treatment notes under each treatment
  • Show appointments’ treatments
Include Station View Select this checkbox to include the Station View in the list of views.
Save as Station Default Click the button to save the currently selected options as the default options for this workstation.

The EHR Options window > Chart Add tab controls display options for the Chart Add tab of the EHR.

Field Description
Default Type of Procedures

Select the radio button to indicate the default procedure type option in the Chart Add tab.

  • Findings
  • Dental Txs
  • Medical Txs
Show step procedures Select this checkbox to display step procedure codes (when entered).
Can add I and C treatments without prior Planning

Select this checkbox to allow treatments to be added at the in process or complete status.

Note: This checkbox is used in conjunction with the Users window > Provider tab > Can add I and C treatments field.

Warn if Services not Covered when adding I or C txs (for insurance companies that warn for P txs) Select this checkbox to indicate that any insurance companies that are set to display a warning about coverage when entered as planned treatment, should also display a warning when the procedure is entered as in process or complete.
Warn if Services partially Covered when adding I or C txs (for insurance companies that warn for P txs) Select this checkbox to indicate that any insurance companies that are set to display a warning about partial coverage when entered as planned treatment, should also display a warning when the procedure is entered as in process or complete.
Save as Station Default Click this button to save current selections as the default values for this workstation.
