Sticky Notes

Like the paper version, sticky notes are used in axiUm to store and display small pieces of important information and can be used as reminders for users. Sticky notes can be placed throughout axiUm and be tied to a specific module or area or tied to a patient.

Examples: The Patients, Scheduler, and Transactions modules.

You can add a sticky note manually or axiUm can be configured to auto-create a note when specific events occur.

Example: If a patient indicates that their address is incorrect, this triggers a sticky note.

Depending on their settings, a sticky note displays quietly in the background or pops-up at certain times including:

  • On a specific date
  • When selecting a patient
  • At patient check in or check out
  • When making appointments
  • When scheduling planned treatments
  1. Click the Tools menu and select Note to display the Stickies window.

    2. Tip: You can also access the Stickies window using the Add Sticky Note () icon that's available in a variety of modules in axiUm.

  2. Enter the note contents.
  3. (Optional) Click the Options () icon to display the Note Options window and customize the note display options:
    • Complete the fields as necessary and click OK.

      • On date: Select the checkbox and a date that the note pops-up to display.

      • When making Appointments: Select the checkbox to make the note pop-up when a user makes an appointment.

      • When scheduling planned Txs: Select the checkbox to make the note pop-up when a user schedules planned treatment.

      • At Patient Check In: Select the checkbox to make the note pop-up when a user checks the patient in.

      • At Patient Check Out: Select the checkbox to make the note pop-up when a user checks the patient out.

      • When Select Patient: Select the checkbox to make the note pop-up when a user selects the patient.

      • After date: Select the date that the note is deactivated and no longer pops-up to display.

  4. Click the bottom-left corner of the Stickies window and drag the note to the applicable area.

    5. A Sticky Note numbered icon () displays in the area and indicates the number of notes present.

  1. Click the Sticky Note () icon to open and view the note.
  2. If multiple notes display in the Date area, select a listed note.
  3. (Optional) Modify the note text.
  4. (Optional) Click the Options () icon to open and change the Display on Screen options.
  5. Click Save and close the Edit Notes window.

  2. If multiple notes display in the Date area, select a listed note.
  3. Click Remove and click Yes to confirm your removal.
