Audience: Clinical Faculty and Instructors

Course Overview:

This course supports faculty members in supervising student clinical work using axiUm. It focuses on clinical oversight, documentation review, approvals, evaluations, and prescribing responsibilities to ensure safe, effective patient care while supporting student learning.

It emphasizes awareness of clinical workflows and consistent use of axiUm tools for oversight and assessment.

In this course, you will learn to:

• Navigate the Electronic Health Record (EHR) to locate relevant patient information

• Perform Start Checks to verify patient readiness for treatment

• Review and approve student created treatment plans

• Monitor indicators of incomplete or unapproved student work

• Review and approve clinical notes, forms, and treatments

• Evaluate student clinical performance using axiUm evaluation forms

• Prescribe medications through axiUm or eRx, following institutional protocols
